Alfred Kalyanapu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville. He received his B.Tech Degree from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India, MS and PhD from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He directs the TechWARMS (short for Tennessee Tech's Water Resources Modeling and Simulation) research lab and their research interests include computational hydrology, flood modeling and simulations, GIS and emerging technological applications in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Alfred has been actively involved in state and national organizations including TN AWRA, AGU and EWRI over the past 10+ years. He is a past-chair of ASCE's Computational Hydraulics Committee and Secretary of Emerging and Innovative Technologies Committee.
