Edward (Ted) Peltier is a Professor and Glenn L. Parker Faculty Fellow in the Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Kansas, where he has taught since 2006. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University. His research areas include the fate and transport of pollutants in the environment, novel strategies for treatment and management of produced water and other high-salinity wastewaters, and the use of wetlands for stormwater control and nutrient removal. He is the chair of the ASCE Environmental and Water Resources Institute Technical Committee on Water Quality and Drainage, and a member of the technical committee for Environmentally Responsible Energy Production.
