Principal Member of Technical Staff

David Hart is a principal member of technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories, a DOE/NNSA-sponsored National Laboratory in New Mexico. He has a BS in Computer Science from Utah State University and a MS in Mathematics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology with emphasis in Applied Mathematics in Geosciences. David has worked at Sandia for over 20 years, starting as an undergraduate intern setting up and running small computing clusters used for groundwater flow modeling and then molecular dynamics simulations. He currently splits his time between model and software development and numerical analysis for his two primary projects: research on infrastructure resilience in drinking water distribution systems and research & engineering support for underground storage of both hydrocarbons and hydrogen.
