Postdoctoral Fellow
University of South Carolina
Dr. Elalfy is an Assistant Professor at irrigation and hydraulics department, faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University (ASU), Egypt. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral research fellow at University of South Carolina (USC), USA. He obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering at ASU, MSc in Water Resources Engineering at ASU, and PhD in Water Resources Engineering at USC. His main area of expertise is investigating the overtopping failure of earthen dams and levees. His research interests are in developing experimental and numerical models to simulate this failure, and developing robust computer programs to predict the evolution of breach characteristics during that failure.
