Nasim is a Ph.D. candidate and a graduate research assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at Florida International University with broad interests in advanced GIS-based hydrologic modeling and applying green infrastructure to the management of stormwater runoff. She received her MS degree in Civil and Water Resources Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Her past work looked at measuring and identifying the economic and private benefits of reallocation of transboundary water, agricultural revolution, and services. Also, she investigated identifying solutions to water resource management problems facing human activities (e.g., farming complex, or agricultural services). As part of her current research, Nasim focuses on integrated flood and socio-environmental risk assessment and multi-criteria decision analysis.
