Ph.D. Student in Civil and Environmental Engineering
University of California, Davis
Felipe Ulloa Henriquez is a first-year Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California Davis. He is part of the Hydrologic Research Group led by Professor M. Levent Kavvas, and his current research focuses on the physical modeling of hydrological processes. Felipe received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Santiago, Chile, where he worked on modeling one- and two-dimensional slightly compressible fluids with the Finite Element Method. After his master's studies, he worked as a civil engineer for two years on the design of channels for irrigation and automated gate systems. Felipe’s research interests are modeling different fluid phenomena, droughts, and numerical analysis. Felipe is always open to talking about interesting equations and algorithms, different ways to cook tasty food, or both.
