Senior Project Manager Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD)
Area of Concern (AOC) rehabilitation offers an opportunity to improve the overall ecological health of our waters, in addition to making them less toxic. Several partner organizations in the Milwaukee Area are collaborating to implement habitat enhancement and connectivity projects that were identified by regional ecologists as priorities throughout the Milwaukee Estuary AOC. Information will be shared about the general process of addressing ecological impairments in an AOC and the specific projects MMSD is managing, including wetland re-creation, native aquatic organism passage, and riverine habitat enhancement.
