Wisconsin Sea Grant/Coastal Management Program
Helena Tiedmann is a J. Philip Keillor Postdoctoral Fellow with Wisconsin Sea Grant and the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program, where she works on coastal resilience issues along the Great Lakes. She earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental geology and political science at Beloit College before completing a Master of Science in energy and earth resources and a Ph.D. in civil engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Helena is passionate about finding ways to make communities, natural systems, and the built environment more resilient to environmental challenges. Her research interests include water infrastructure systems, human-infrastructure interactions, extreme event preparedness, and sustainable water resource management.
