Ph.D. Student in Earth and Ecosystem Science
Central Michigan University
I am Hooshyar Yousefyani, an engineer passionate about addressing environmental challenges through innovative solutions. After completing my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Tabriz, Iran, I pursued a master's in Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation at Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. During this time, my interest in hydraulic and hydrology led me to explore sediment transport in depth for my master's thesis.
Driven by a commitment to innovation, I ventured to the USA for a Ph.D. in Earth and Ecosystem Science at Central Michigan University. Specializing in using Real-Time Control Technology in detention basins to mitigate flooding and erosion in urban streams, I aim to merge my engineering expertise with programming skills to analyze problems and provide effective solutions.
