Kyla Rollo is a doctoral student in Rowan University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. She is a Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) fellow, and her research focuses on bioremediation in cold regions with a specific emphasis on optimizing the remediation of oil compounds in Alaska. Her work addresses the pressing environmental challenges posed by hydrocarbon contamination in these vulnerable regions. She aims to contribute to sustainable solutions for environmental challenges, leveraging biological processes to mitigate the impact of climate change on our planet. She holds an Associate's degree (AS) in Business Administration from Salem Community College as well as a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rowan University.
