Matthew Bartos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on real-time sensing, modeling, and control of urban drainage systems, with an emphasis on urban flooding and water quality issues. He is the lead architect of the open storm wireless sensing platform, and is the author of open source scientific software including the pysheds digital elevation model toolkit and the pipedream hydraulic solver.
