Pratik Mahyawansi completed his bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the Aeronautical Society of India in 2013. He went to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to pursue a master’s in aerospace Propulsion, where he worked on a non-reacting spray study using PIV and an experimental study on reacting spray for flame lift-off for his master thesis. After completing his master's in 2015, Pratik joined Honeywell Technology Solution Lab India to work with the combustion team. Pratik has worked on problems that involved flow physics, such as highly swirling reacting flow, multiphase flow, and conjugate heat transfer. Pratik also significantly contributes to developing CFD strategies for various problems, Meshing strategies for complex geometries, and various scripts for detail post-processing for Honeywell. He has developed a python tool to automate various CAD operations using NXOpen and proposed a novel technique to integrate it with a meshing tool for robustness
