Nadia Mugisha is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York with six years of experience working on the planning, design, permitting, and construction of various water and wastewater projects. With a focus on equity and environmental justice, Nadia ensures that project designs not only meet technical standards but also account for the social and economic dynamics of the communities they serve. Notably, Nadia has used Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) to serve clients for their Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP) for Combined Sewer Overflow Mitigation. She contributed to the Buffalo Sewer Authority LTCP Optimization project, addressing water quality concerns and maximizing project benefits for historically ignored and disadvantaged communities. Nadia earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering from California Baptist University, and she’s dedicated to leveraging SWMM and democratizing digital solutions to help communities make better decisions regarding environmental compliance and protecting their communities.
