Biography: Addrita Haque is an M.Sc. candidate at Clarkson University. Her academic pursuits center on the meticulous field sampling and detection of microplastics in riverine, canal, and creek system. In her current research, Addrita explores the abundance, as well as the physical and chemical properties of microplastics within these diverse water bodies. Her inquiry extends beyond mere observation, aiming to unravel the intricate relationships between microplastic prevalence and properties, considering factors such as land use patterns, seasonal variations, and the influence of hydraulic structures. Notably, Addrita's endeavors extend to the study of microplastics in biota, focusing on mussels and broadening the scope of her research to encompass the complex
interplay between these pollutants and aquatic organisms. Her multifaceted approach reflects a dedication to understanding the pervasive impact of microplastics on different environmental components.
