Principle author of "Bank Stabilization Design Guidelines" and "Guidelines for Evaluating Pipeline Channel Crossing Hazards to Ensure Effective Pipeline Burial", and contributing author of "Managing Infrastructrue in the Stream Environment" all Bureau of Reclamation wide publications. Principle investigator in cost effective and environmental aspects of bank stabilization, and reducing sediment effects upon restoration features. Authored or co-authored over 90 publications as design guidelines, reports, journal articles and/or proceedings papers. Lead or participated in over 120 Reclamation projects, designs and/or studies. Championed and participated in research initiatives including enhancement of transverse feature design based on hydraulic performance, integrating local channel conditions with reach and landscape scale processes, preservation or re-establihment of the floodplain, and impacts on river reach morphology for perched river beds. Member of ASCE River Restoration Committee, Sedimentation Committee and Reservoir Sedimentation Committee.
