Jonathan Burkhardt, Ph.D. is an environmental engineer with U.S. EPA's Office of Research and Development, Center for Environmental Solutions and Emergency Response. He began working with EPA in 2013 as an ORISE postdoctoral fellow and then joined EPA in 2015. His research at EPA has focused on modeling contaminant fate and transport in water distribution systems, premise plumbing systems, and modeling water treatment with granular activated carbon and ion exchange. Jon has supported Water Treatment Models, ETDOT, EPANET, EPANET-MSX, WNTR and PPMtools development to support research related to these systems. Jon holds a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
