Michael T. Buechter, P.E., BC.WRE, F.EWRI, is a Program Manager at the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) where he manages a diverse and talented team responsible for the preparation of construction documents for small to mid-sized projects, administration of several Consulting Engineering contracts, and administration of MSD’s Small Contractor Program.
Michael received his BSCE degree from Missouri S&T, as well as a MSCE degree (Water Resources) from OSU. He is a past Director of the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis and Past-President of the local section of ASCE. He is also a Past-Chairman of the local chapter of EWRI, a past member of the EWRI Governing Board (Society Level) and Past-Chair of the Member Service Executive Committee of the EWRI (Society Level). He is a Past-President of the St. Louis Chapter of MSPE as well as current Vice-President of MSPE (state level).
Michael and his wife, Rita, live in Webster Groves, where they raised their four boys, three of whom are Eagle Scouts. He continues to serve his community as a member of the City Planning Commission.
