Vinton Furnace State Experimental Forest (VFSEF) is a 3,200-acre experimental forest in McArthur, Ohio. It is comprised of various oak species. Various research studies were done with the Silviculture research in the past four decades. This study looks into the changes in the ecohydrology in the watershed where VFSEF is situated. Rainfall, runoff, soil moisture, water quality, and land management are the parameters that are considered in this study. The study employs two models: the Regional Hydro-Ecological Simulation System (RHESSys), an ecohydrological model, and the Soil & Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), a small watershed to river basin-scale model. The public domain data sets are used in this preliminary study.
